Death purifies.
Another 80s campus-set slasher fest, I wish I could say “gore-fest” because this is seriously lacking in the slashing, slicing and stabbing department! For a slasher there’s hardly any onscreen kills, the blood is minimal at best but there’s a good bit of mystery, oh and the sleaze is plenty, plentyyyyy.
After countless coeds go missing, Toni an anxious journalist wants to know the truth behind the disappearances, all signs point to Tambers College and their most popular fraternity. As far as slashers go Rush Week is pretty basic, with ridiculous frat house characters, random bits of saxophone music, and a medieval axe murder weapon — you just don’t see that everyday, it’s worth checking out for that final chase sequence alone.
This would make a great double feature with another VinSyn release, Pledge Night.
