I think what's most delightful about this (beyond the endless optimism to tell a simple, kind message and tremendous use of color in the animation) is the way it frames conflict; there is no real villain and the struggle comes from attempting to resolve a problem, restrictive consideration for the collective good clashing against Tinker Bell's somewhat reckless curiosity and desire for freedom.
What we're left with is an adventure that feels surprisingly introspective, affirming the power and necessity of relationships above all else. The limited scope (in story and by budget) means that the elements the film does have to work with feel really well realized, the two fairy communities each having a distinct life of their own (although…

I chose the perfect film to cheer me up during quarantine depression hours. Got 88 screencaps from it saved on my phone so uh get ready for a post about the cinematography of Secret of the Wings or something.
-beautiful visually, the separation between winter and fall especially was gorgeous
-all great new characters, especially Dewey and the skater chad
-periwinkle and tink watching their origin and them spending time together, every shot of just them 2 was beautiful
