this is what EVERY other zombie comedy ever is missing: a scene where the characters beat a zombie to death with pool sticks in-sync to queen's "don't stop me now"

the fact that the brutal murdering of that old man was in sync with "don't stop me now" by queen is utterly breathtaking, truly masterful work.

Just rewatched it with my pops. He fell asleep but I loved it just as much the second time. Such a goofy ride, not sure how you can’t smile while watching this.

I'm trying to think of another film that manages to be a perfect tribute, comedy and horror film in one.

I just can't think of any.

Surprisingly works better for me from a dramatic standpoint than a comedic one. It's still really funny, but I'm also incredibly invested in Shaun trying to repair and come to grips with his relationships in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. Tons of stellar scenes and impeccable direction make this a blast to revisit.

Somehow even better than it was the last time I watched it. Now I'm not even sure where I'd rank it in Wright's films.

This is better than Hot Fuzz. Hot Fuzz was great but this one was more fun. They did some pretty cool and funny things to the zombies and the characters are funny as well. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are just as good in Hot Fuzz. I am gonna have to see the other one with them soon but I forgot what it was called right now. I do wish this one was longer tho it was only a little over 90 minutes and I would have loved to see more from this movie. Edgar Wright is just amazing, he makes just some of the best movies and I am looking forward to seeing his new movie coming out this year. I think Zombieland wanted to be this good like Zombieland is enjoyable but this is miles better.

I have never been one to watch zombie movies so I don’t really have anything to compare this horror comedy to, but man was it hilarious.

Edgar Wright has yet to disappoint !

This has always been overshadowed by Hot Fuzz and The World's End for me so its really a testament to Edgar Wright that its such a great movie. Its a perfect mix of comedy and tension, Simon Pegg is fantastic, like the rest of the Cornetto trilogy the foreshadowing is small but perfect, and it is without a doubt a landmark for horror comedies and the best zombie comedy. It was nice watching this with Mom since she liked it and it was great to show her the film in the Cornetto trilogy she hadn't seen. Overall this is a classic and one of my favorite horror comedies.

The third act is simply amazing, but the construction has a inconsistent quality.
