most of the time when i feel an anxiety attack coming on it was actually triggered by the random thought that crossed my mind just before it started: “what if i had an anxiety attack right now?” this is kind of like that for 90 minutes. don’t expect much explanation but instead try to tune in with the melancholy vibes, which shouldn’t be much of a challenge during times like this. i feel sad most days now to some degree and found this comforting rather than upsetting. i don’t often share my anxieties and sadness with others anymore for fear that these negative feelings will be contagious and make my loved ones feel this horrible way that i do. but in a way this proves that sometimes sharing the misery is inevitable (also, unhinged kate lyn sheil is always too brilliant)

fuck "narrative". I want formless anxiety, nihilism, and a craving of death bathed in neon lights and a healthy sense of dread

also wouldn't complain about a tour of Amy Seimetz's house, Kate Lyn Sheil just doing wherever the hell she does, Chris Messina just... there? some quality reasons to go to therapy for a long long time, experimental filmmaker James Benning planning on making the girls of mumblecore into leather jackets, some hell dimension Mozart, that picture of Amy Seimetz directing this in a Rihanna shirt, and a bloody Jane Adams on a pool float

but seriously, fuck narrative. I want my brain FRIEEEEED BABYYYYY

"I was thinking I could be made into a leather jacket."

succeeds in embodying a collective dread better than a lot of out-and-out horror movies of the last few years. i really appreciate how the apparent last day of the characters, but most notably Amy, is focused on these wordless goodbyes to the human senses. touching, tasting, smelling every last bit of surroundings, running fingers across the plywood flooring, listening to Mozart etc. it adds a dimension of personal tragedy to an already terrifying premise that is aided by the ritualistic visuals that i absolutely ate up. take a bow amy seimetz.

Honestly I'll just say it's not my cup of brandy. Some interesting visual shots but I just don't get slow creeping art house movies. Or rather they don't stimulate my brain.

This thing kinda jumped the shark halfway through. I was still pretty solidly invested for like 2/3 of this though.

I mean I have several questions but one main one is: can everyone see the strobe colors right before they get sick with "I'm gonna die tomorrow", or is that just purely a visual cue so that anyone watching can keep track? Either way, it was an interesting touch & added the possibility for an otherworldly origination of the traveling, deeply specific, fear. It does also seem possible that the fear itself is inside the lights & the lights cause a trance like state. Loads of fascinating cosmic shit to ponder in this one.

I know it’s not the same, but this somewhat reminds me of It Follows. 

“I’ll do mushrooms, but no alcohol” is my jam.

I might die tomorrow after watching this silly thing. I highly agreed that the idea was amazing, but at some point I felt so dumb thinking how they managed everything.

Art house movie where most of the characters realize they are going to die the next day, and then matter of factly announce it to everyone. 

Has an interesting premise, but not my kind of movie. Very moody.

A film that has shaken me to my core — not because I had never considered I might die, that’s commonplace for me — but that some (like the people in this film) are apparently demigods who have never before considered they could die soon. 

Isn’t death the only thing that makes this life? I don’t get anything anymore. Enjoy your everlasting existence — until it isn’t.

If ur worried about dying today, tomorrow, or the next day, don't waste any of ur precious remaining minutes on this movie.
