There are three rules that I live by:
1). Never get less than twelve hours sleep.
2). Never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city.
3). Never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.
Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese - Coach Finstock (1985)
I love this film.
It helped me get through puberty.
I looked like a Yeti when I was twelve.
This film taught me that that's fine.
Some believe this is an allegory for puberty, while I believe it’s just a movie about how fun it would be to see a 5’4” wolf dunk a basketball.
Well, this was a movie. Even though I haven't watched it, I have a feeling the MTV show is far more interesting and engaging than this film. This is essentially one gimmick strung out across 90 minutes. There's an important message here, but the writing isn't well developed, and the whole thing ends up feeling quite sloppy. The designs for our two wolves are good, but the father in particular resembles a Star Wars character; he looks less like a wolf and more like a distant cousin of Chewbacca. Moreover, it seems like this is more of a sports film than a monster movie.
Any positives? Michael J. Fox was delightful, and he clearly enjoyed himself. There are some amusing…
I really would love to sit the Teen Wolf (tv show) writers down and ask them what details they pulled from this movie other than making stiles gay
My mom during the first basketball game: He's gonna go wolf!!!
My mom during the final basketball game: aw he's playing as himself
perfect movie. obvious metaphor for being gay and they played surfin usa TWICE!!!! i want all of stiles’s outfits and his sunglasses!! magical
