I never thought i would give a Mcg film 4 stars but here we are....
The Babysitter is a blast that I couldn't help but be swept up in, I'm sure this movie has a lot of flaws but I was too busy loving it to care.
I really hope they make a sequel, The Babysitter is fantastic, check it out.

Side note but Samara Weaving is quite possibly the most likable psychotic killer satanist ever.

Oh and my Intergalactic dream team is as follows:
1.Hudson from Aliens for the heavy
2. Quinn Mallory from Sliders for the brains (I know not technically intergalactic, but its science fiction... anything can happen.)

This really aged well ngl. It's fun it's quirky, it's camp. The deaths are so fun. The cast has great chemistry and yeah....

Truly a strange beast. Conforms to its genre just enough for the goofs and overt comedic elements to click. Had a lot of fun, although it's so much like bubble gum it gives me a cavity - simple, delicious, disposable. Save it for a Friday night.

Oh, another movie made by a dude in his forties where 12 year-olds do stuff like quote The Godfather Part 2 and reference Star Trek: The Next Generation. Goodie.

gotta love when a film dedicates more time to its male gazey faux lesbian makeout scene than it does to explaining why the antagonist is performing ritualistic sacrifices

this actually could have been a pretty good story about the way teenagers seem like a terrifying all-powerful incomprehensible cult when you are on the cusp of puberty, or at least included even one cool satanic ritual or something, but unfortunately it insisted on being a stupid movie aimed at a very specific kind of annoying bro instead

What an unbelievably terrible movie. I’ve heard this movie is supposed to be a parody of slasher films; if that’s the case, they did that poorly too.
The only thing this movie got right was the fear the main character feels when waking up and seeing Bella Thorne in his house. I too would be scared.
My favorite part was when it ended.

A tonally odious script directed in an obnoxiously over stylized manner by McG. At least the cast seem to be having fun though, and Douglas Pipes' synthetic score is refreshingly reserved.
