ewan mcgregor: choose this choose that choose choose choose choose choose
me, indecisive as fuck: uuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh uhhhhhhhhhhhhh
The word "trainspotting" can mean alot of things.
It literally translates to the phyisical act of watching trains, whether it be for a hobby or for recreation.
It's also commonly used among junkies to signal the track marks it leaves on the arms of addicts.
In the context of Danny Boyle's masterpiece, the word means all of the above. The life of a heroin addict could be summed up as the act of watching trains. You are watching hundreds of lives pass you by as the train speeds past. There are people going many different places. There are people coming from heartbreaks and there are people heading towards a new life. The addict isn't a part of all this. He…
you know how you can smell certain movies? yeah, this one smells like cigarettes and feces.
there’s a character in the book of mormon who, after visiting uganda for the first time, declares that AFRICA IS NOTHING LIKE THE LION KING! similarly, after spending 90 minutes w this film, i have concluded that outlander may not be the most universal depiction of scotland
“1,000 years from now there will be no guys and no girls, just wankers. Sounds great to me.”
"wow, trainspotting has really changed my life. It's made me decide I'm never gonna do drugs" -me, a bitch who was never gonna do heroin anyway
ewan mcgregor wearing a crop top did more for the film industry than spielberg's entire filmography
ye ever wanty just tie yer arm up nice and cosy and then just fucking get right inty the heroin and blow yersel up tae fuck
I don’t remember a word form this movie but I bet they were saying some cool shit
A beautifully raw and provokative insight into the depressive cesspit that is heroin addiction, but not one I’d recommend watching mere hours after almost overdosing on MDMA.
Même si 1996 n'est pas si loin et que j'avais 6 ans. Je ne peux imaginer un monde ou ma vingtaine ce vie sans cellulaire.....

"Phew! I haven't felt that good since Archie Gemmill scored against Holland in 1978!"
neden bu kadar geç izlediğime anlam veremediğim bir film daha
damn. ewan my gregor is basically jesus. and him wearing a crop top confirmed that the man is jesus.
on a more serious, technical note: sick camerawork/all the trip/withdrawal scenes were filmed really well. also it felt like a breath of fresh air to see a movie that didn’t glorify drug use.
i’m angry at ewan mcgregor because it should be illegal how amazing an actor he is.
I am a little disappointed in myself that today was the first time I watched this film. I really liked it a lot and I want to rewatch it , I would quite like to see it in the cinema . Maybe that will be a possibility one day. I really didn’t expect it to be the way it is; I thought it was going to be very gritty and harsh and difficult to watch but it was actually still very funny and light hearted whilst also being gritty and showcasing Scotland’s drug crisis in an honest way. Really interesting, but I wish I knew more about the time period bc I think it would have been even more enjoyable if I’d grown up in the era. Also really cool and random soundtrack. I was doing crochet while I watched this so didn’t focus completely.
obi dong kenobis adventure through heroin, paedophilic relationships, and infant mortality
