Best way to describe my experience with this film is to put it this way imagine ordering a shot of the best Kentucky bourbon only to discover upon tasting it had been watered down!
It's watchable but if you're looking for an emotionally meaningful film it missed that boat by a mile!
Over a decade ago, I walked out of the theater feeling like I had been beaten over the head with a shovel. I was dazed and speechless, but not because of the power of cinema or a narrative that was effectively hard hitting and meaningful. I was feeling the effects of a film that drilled home a single tonal note for two hours with relentless brutality, and I promised myself I would never watch that work again.
The film I am speaking of was The Passion of the Christ, and I have never felt compelled to waiver from that one and done, single viewing pledge, but right now I feel as if I have witnessed its, for lack of a…
I heard Cook's voice on tv and decited to watch 5 minutes. The 5 min tranformed in me watching the whole movie with my eyes glued to the screen.

i love jack o'connell and his sweet face and his new yawk-italian accent and his bad dye job
By the time Unbroken limps towards the finish line, director Angelina Jolie has convincingly made the case that a dozen great movies could be made about the extraordinary life of Louis “Louie” Zamperini. The folly of this bland and broadly forgettable version is that it tries to be all of them.

"Don’t look at me."
Unbroken is about a person being pushed to their absolute limit (both physically and mentally) and then even further. It’s about strength, courage, and survival.
It stars Jack O’Connell as Louie Zamperini, a bombardier and former Olympian, who is taken prisoner by the Japanese during World War II after his B-24 is shot down over the Pacific Ocean. After managing to survive on a raft (with two other survivors) for 47 days, he is captured by the Japanese and, over the next few years, is beaten, starved, tormented, and is ultimately pushed to his limits (and then some).
O’Connell, as Zamperini, is fantastic. After hearing so much about the (24 year…
You can tell that this is directed by an amateur.
Nearly everything in this film is a misfire. Angelina Jolie's direction is incredibly plain, Deakins hardly brings anything to the table visually, and I'm still don't believe the famed Coen Brothers could have written this screenplay. At least Jack O'Connell tries his best, and shows faint glimmers of skill in what little material he's given to work with.
Unbroken is boring, amateurish, and messy. It's not worth it.
i have no words
serieux les films basés sur des histoires vraies de meme i cantttt

i'm sure it was an ok movie, it's just that they did the book such an injustice, it was hard to get out of my head while watching.
Incredible true story portrayed very well. Angelina Jolie truly impressed with this one
