Ayla Van Damme’s review published on Letterboxd:
¡Adoro esta película! Haven’t given this a rewatch since I first bought it last year in Barcelona and watched it with my Spanish best friend, literally after going out for Mexican food and drinking margaritas.
I was again amazed by the visual beauty of the film, and how the humour never becomes crass, due to film’s underlying emotional sensitivity. One of those films, in which everything and nothing at once happens, and for that reason we can all relate to something.
Makes me miss the island in Spain that I lived on, my jumps and swims in the ocean, joking and drinking mojitos with friends on the beach at sunlit café terraces. Nostalgia suddenly hit me really deep watching this.
