World of Tomorrow Episode Three: The Absent Destinations of David Prime

The concept of "time" be hittin' different right now.

I'm so happy I got the World of Tomorrow Blu-ray set. These are all so visually beautiful and conceptually fascinating that's it's hard to put into world. I just feel like everyone needs to give these a watch.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

This movie is extremely dimly lit and has a lot of rain sounds, it's like a white noise machine with the occasional zombie screaming and gunshots. So as a horror fan, I found it very relaxing.

    Home Sweet Home Alone

Such a...mean movie. The Home Alone-style of slapstick doesn't work when I'm feeling bad for the people it's happening to. I couldn't give two shits about Home Alone, but this is a very weird way to revive it.

Also, this is the 6th Home Alone film, Disney isn't "ruining" this franchise. Some might say it's been bad for a long time time. Some.

Joaquin Phoenix talking to kids: thoughtful, sensitive, allows them to expressive themselves in whatever way makes them most comfortable and not be afraid to ask difficult questions.

Me talking to kids: "When you think about it, The Twilight Saga never really had a chance. There had never been a media franchise quite like it directed specifically for adolescent girls. We had seen multiple of these film franchises targeted to young boys for decades. And yet when one finally comes around…

Cool idea, fine build-up, bit lackluster ending. Maybe they could have made the camera guy a little less date-rapey? Maybe?
