    Well, this was depressing.

    Willy's Wonderland

    ★★★★

Man, Willy's Wonderland is a blast! It's never taking itself seriously and embraces its tired cliches despite being completely aware of them all. Nicolas Cage doesn't speak a single word of dialogue at any point during the film, which ultimately makes his character doubly mysterious and fascinating, as well as ridiculously entertaining. Fun action, cool animatronics, and Nic Cage rocking out while playing pinball. Yeah, this is my kind of shit.

    Nocturne

    ★★★★

The film plays out pretty much exactly how you think it will play out, but it's because of the precision of the editing, the gorgeous cinematography, and Sydney Sweeney's fantastic performance that I'd recommend giving Nocturne a shot. It's basically Black Swan meets Whiplash, and I have no problems with that at all. Also, it was a pleasant surprise to find that this movie, despite proudly boasting the "Blumhouse" name, featured absolutely ZERO jump scares. Granted, I wouldn't classify this…
