I’m just trying to watch as many films as Lorelai Gilmore.

Strangely, I would love to see the same story from Alexander Payne's or Craig Gillespie's direction.

  • Pig

I had already read Pig wasn't the revenge story we thought it would be before watching. This got me unguarded regardless. It *is* a revenge story, but it's so empathetic, so gentle and it trusts its audience so well to not give any more details on the plot than necessary that it differentiates itself from its counterparts quite easily. Nicolas Cage gives one the most spectacular performances of his career to basically remind us he is one hell of an actor. His supporter Alex Wolff's sincere, heartbreaking work is excellent as well.

Call Me By Your Name is like a poetic, heart-breaking song that gets you everytime. An unforgettable cinematic experience and probably the best of the year, and one the best queer movies of all time.

  • After Hours

    After Hours

I don’t wanna sound like a film bro but seriously, how could Scorsese achieve making so many perfect films? Everytime, I just say to myself “this is it. this is his best work” and with every other movie I find myself gaping. [And I haven’t even watched Goodfellas yet!!]

After Hours is a genius, funny, disturbing, filled with paranoia masterpiece. One of the most exciting and fun films I’ve ever seen. Griffin Dunne is so good.
