Watching this with headphones on was definitely the way to go, since the film plays around with the audio so much. There came a point where I had to take them off just to reassure myself the headphones weren’t acting up.
I really loved Riz Ahmed’s performance (it might even be my fav performance of the year). I think he captured the frustration one, specifically his character, would feel if this were to suddenly happen. His character honestly isn’t always the most likable, but part of it again comes from the frustration we see radiating from him trying to adapt. Since he’s a musician, it seems like a genuine response. His character arc is great.
I loved the final scene.
