Steve Sandberg’s review published on Letterboxd:
It's a solid event but it also makes the mistake of taking its event-ness for granted and ends up leaving itself pretty darn hollow as a result. It's a lot of movie and a lot less of it works than I would've hoped, but it's still impressive that any of it actually does. And I gotta admit, even though it probably would've turned out better differently, giving the only real emotional arc of the movie to Thanos was one hell of a bold choice. I dunno, it's big, it's pretty funny - minus that really awkward Hulk stuff and a few noticeably lame Greatest Hits jokes - and I was left genuinely shocked by the conclusion. So, yeah.
