Florin Scanlon’s review published on Letterboxd:
Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken is bad-ass in the truest sense. Lee Van Cleef as Bob Hauk is bad-ass in a different way, in that he is a walking legend. Donald Pleasence as the President makes a nice critical view of the notion of political power and has a blast doing it. Harry Dean Stanton as Brain should stay on the left all the time because that scene makes me laugh so hard. Adrienne Barbeau as Maggie is an angel for a male like myself. John Carpenter is great, really great. The score is awesome. The movie is a bit dated and not much happens but who needs things to happen or look fresh when I can watch Snake walking around and acting like a total bad-ass! I think this is some sort of a classic, the kind of classic that's disguised as an extremely enjoyable B-movie.
