where do I begin? maybe with,
"to make yourself feel nothing, so as not to feel anything? what a waste,"
because call me by your name made me feel. it made me feel everything. It made me feel more than any work of art ever has. I have never been more in love yet so heartbroken in my entire life. and with every tear I shed, every unexpected breath I let go, every gasp I took in, and every other physical manifestion of this feeling, I kept thinking "this is why we make art."
I urge you to read the novel if you've only seen the film, and vice versa. they work together to create a piece of art that will not only make you feel, but will move you. like a beautiful friendship. or more.
"because it was him."
"because it was me."
