it has been years since i last watched this and it completely overwhelmed me. the bond daisy and benjamin create is so deep and full of yearning that it tugged at every single heartstring touching my soul in ways i don't even know how to describe. the storytelling is impeccable, especially the "what if" sequence is something i have never once forgotten. i did not expect to be this moved by my rewatch but here i am, transported to another universe, and lacking words.
i watched this with my mom (!?!?!?!?) per her request (!!!!!!!!!!) and she loved it even more the second time around?????? she first watched it in november and absolutely adored it but hated the german dubbing so she wanted to watch it again in english!!!!! back then she praised cate and rooney's acting and then went on a minute long praise for cate, saying she’s incredible, so elegant and graceful, even in the way she sits and that she’s “an actual queen”!!!!!!!! anyway, stan my mom!
