    "ASS TO ASS!"

What an astonishing piece of work. "Requiem for a Dream" is one of my favorite films of all time, a disturbing and horrifying tale of four people destroying their lives in their pursuit of happiness and success. Through the subjective camerawork and unique editing style, writer-director Darren Aronofsky lets us delve into the mental state of these four characters, what they see, feel, and fear. Incredible performances throughout (Ellen Burstyn delivering one of the most unforgettable performancesโ€ฆ

Absolute masterpiece. Top notch acting paired with stunningly beautiful cinematography - almost every shot is a piece of art itself. This movie sucked me in from the very first second and still, even after a second watch, has me thinking about it big time.
