Ford Boyce’s review published on Letterboxd:
I don’t wanna sound like a huge boomer but legitimately why don’t blockbusters look as good as this anymore? I understand there’s visual effects in most scenes during big budget movies, but I think the mix of real locations and stunts with the bare minimum CGI is just the clear way to go. This came out almost 8 years ago and this looks better than every movie I’ve seen this year and maybe last year. It looks so much better I just don’t understand why studios constantly go for an oversaturated CGI mess instead of this. Other than that though, everything’s really great in this. Really glad I’ve finally been able to watch it and now maybe Ill see Mockingjay Part 2 eventually.
