Wouldn't have even watched it if I wasn't watching for a friend, as I hated the 2018 film with a burning passion from hell, but I'm very glad I did. Easily the best Halloween film since Halloween 6.
It's far from perfect, suffering from the same on-the-nose dogshit dialogue of the first film (the events of the first Halloween are recounted 3 times in the first 20 minutes), but it's a million times better than Halloween (2018)…
