Let's review: this is camp, but Can't Stop the Music is not. This movie is wholeheartedly sincere--which is wack, since it's a story about one of the nine muses coming down from Mount Olympus to help Michael Beck found a roller disco. And there's flashbacks to Gene Kelly in World War II. The whole enterprise is held aloft by its blazingly crazy good intentions.
Admission: I am usually a sucker for ONJ singing John Farrar songs (e.g., "Suspended in Time")
