Boring Art House Remakes of Classic Horror Films

For reasons I have trouble understanding, there's a trend in modern cinema to remake classic horror films as boring, pretentious, art house crap. Sometimes these remakes are official, other times they're just knock offs. For reference, I've listed the original film in the notes.

Honorable Mentions:
mother! (2017) - It's boring and pretentious but does not knock off any old horror movie that I know.
Us (2019) - Definitely qualifies as a pretentious arthouse version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), but is not boring.
Berberian Sound Studio (2012) - Definitely an artsy take on Italian horror movies, but more of a genre-wide adaptation than a knock off a specific movie. Also not boring.
