  • The Favourite

    The Favourite

Historic lesson on shade as a magnificent form of art.

  • Extinction

This feels like a first episode unnecessarily stretched out to set up for a greater story arc of a show. Apparently they forgot to make the rest of the show. It left me with so many questions!

  • Adrift

Not to belittle an incredible story of survival, but the dialogue throughout was pretty simple and dull.
“How’d you get to be so crazy!?”
... you just met her, and all she did to blow your mind was to unexpectedly jump into a pool?

  • X-Men Origins: Wolverine

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Don’t understand what this straight to vhs garbage is supposed to be but it isn’t an x-men movie. It’s like someone schemed to hire a whole production and finished the movie before anyone noticed the checks bounced.

  • A Quiet Place

    A Quiet Place

Since the debut of Get Out, i’m really liking the fact that comedy actors make absolutely phenomenal horror movie directors. incredibly tense and worth seeing in theaters.

  • A Dark Song

    A Dark Song

refreshing look at a descent into madness and occult. got pretty spooked

  • Power Rangers

    Power Rangers

I have only myself to blame.

  • The Shape of Water

    The Shape of Water

cringey mess drowning in half baked ideas. Del Torro should stick to monster robot blockbusters like Pacific Rim. The guy is an anime writing weeb.

  • Burnt

chefs over-explaining to other chefs how to cook so the audience can keep up. Like in sci fi movies where the scientist explains to the other scientist how traveling through a wormhole works by drawing a line between two dots on a piece of paper and then folding the paper and stabbing a pen through the dots and into my fucking face because I keep rolling my eyes at the movie.
    Total eye roller.

  • Ghost in the Shell

    Ghost in the Shell

A really pretty movie which didn’t need to exist. Shame that so much high budget cg is wasted on remakes and making a white woman look slightly Asian. It’s great you could do that but really didn’t need to.

  • Logan Lucky

    Logan Lucky

Missing that rapid-fire Cohen brothers touch to move the story along at times but is still a charming heist movie with some of the worst accents ive ever heard. Really fun.
