one day i will regain the energy needed to explain all the little things i noticed and reasons why i liked this film (or literally any film, honestly) even though i was on edge the ENTIRE time AND home alone which i wouldn’t recommend doing while watching this but anyway instead what i would like to mention is the fact that according to this one article i read it’s not 100% clear that he murdered hae-mi which is wild to me…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

    i cannot stop thinking about:

    • the creepy, smoothed-out-jeff-sessions-puppet-lookin guy at the debutante ball
    • the creepy plastic surgeon
    • the terrifying crowd at cpac chanting “usa/four more years” as a response to a prank
    • the “beat you!” joke when they arrive at the garden store
    • the awful doctor at the womens’ healthcare center
    • the women who actually kind of stand up to the awful shit borat and tutar do/say
    • the way this movie had to…

borat has returned just when we needed him most <3

while the original feels like he’s using his magnanimous powers for general chaos, subsequent moviefilm finds him using them for good. the idea of borat (6’3”) influencing one of the most important elections in american history is very nice! chenqui to MY favorite feminist superhero!

ps. “wawaweewa” count is high — lost track after 6. as it should be :)

happy birthday dad, i wish you could be here for it, it doesn't seem right that you're not turning 59 here. you've been gone since september but it feels like just yesterday. i don't even know how to cope with losing you at such a young age, but i've gotta be here for mom.

i always thought it was so neat that you loved twin peaks just like i do, i hope you're at peace, i miss you.

take a shot every time you hear a line of dialogue that aaron sorkin probably jerked off to after he wrote it

Aaron Sorkin is way too good a writer to be forced to work with such a mediocre director as Aaron Sorkin

The episodic structure for this show really works to its benefit as it packs enough in each episode's short runtime to leave an impact, while giving a bit of space to ruminate on it if you want (which is the way I approached it).

It deals with the very heavy issue of sexual assault in a deeply personal and complicated way by its creator and star Michaela Coel, but the way it is presented allows it to be - I…
