This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

    Oh wow, that was something.

I've avoided this film my entire life because I heard it was based on true events, and that didn't appeal to me. Today I finally watched it, and I think it's one of the best horror films I have ever seen!

That opening text crawl is raw, and had me feeling uneasy from the get go. I knew by that alone that this was going to be a wild ride, and that was confirmed when…

With this being filmed and set 22 years after Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece, I can't help but be reminded of the recent trend of sequels being made today from their 80s and 90s entries. Dare I say this is the best I have seen of the lot?

    Merry Christmas, Thomas, indeed.

This was a lot more fun than I was hoping for. It gets quite tense, and keeps things fresh throughout with only a few moments feeling a little jaded. I enjoyed this one.

This was executed well, with real tension and unease at points that built to an interesting conclusion, albeit a slightly predictable one. The best part is, love conclusions like the one we got here, so yeah, give me what I want and I do not care if it is predictable.

No manufactured stingers, no score, no high tech equipment, and no angles that aren’t part of their kit. Looking at you, Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin.

This is amazing, I absolutely loved it! It's an incredibly dark and disturbing pseudo-documentary found footage movie about a serial killer that recorded all of his acts. I was hooked throughout.

MANY trigger warnings for this one.

I would’ve given this 5 stars for the quality story, and acting, but the constant talking over each other made my chest tight, and had me uncomfortable. His poor decision making throughout was stressing me out, so I think if you do struggle with anxiety issues like myself, you may find this a tough watch.
