the claustrophobia, the obsession, the bitter loneliness, the music, the framing, the hair, the makeup, the outfits, the tears. it’s all so good. i absolutely adore movies that take place in one location, i think they really show a good writer from a bad writer. and fassbinder is an EXCELLENT writer. how can a movie be this good. how can a director be this good. 40+ movies in like 13 years ???? and most of them are probably good to fantastic ??? obsessed

Fox is maybe one of the most empathetically flawed characters i’ve seen in recent memory, and one that I felt immediate connection to. Fassbinder is not only great as a lead but he, like always, frames everything so beautifully. I don’t know what else to say about this, my brain is kinda pulling blanks. But I think it’s absolutely fantastic.
