Paul Elliott’s review published on Letterboxd:
This coming-of-age romantic drama unfolds in front of a picturesque Italian countryside which has scarcely looked more agreeable. Luca Guadagnino directs a chronicle involving a passionate connection between a young man (Timothée Chalamet) and an older man played by Armie Hammer. It’s got a tremendous measured and unrushed momentum together with an excellent screenplay by James Ivory, which is based on the 2007 novel of the same name by André Aciman. It's exquisitely filmed, and both Chalamet and Hammer are extraordinary and have spectacular chemistry alongside each other.
