This was the second time Tarantino surprised me and made me leave the theater with an expression of "Damn! What a movie !!!". The first one was after watching "Pulp Fiction".
Kill Bill: vol.1 is a tribute to Oriental kickbutting flicks. Kill Bill uses a great variety of technical resources to tell its story: alternating black-and-white with color, silhouettes and even an exceptional anime inserted in the film that tells the origin of one character.
There are long parts without a single dialogue, something rare in Tarantino movie. The final duel between Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu in the snow is so beautifully that looks like a painting in motion. Extremely well shot and with a Santa Esmeralda soundtrack.
That's a 10/10 movie.
