Like so many good movies, especially the ones that make you think, this was disturbing. It was a brilliant look inside mental illness. The acting was beyond award worthy. It dealt with the effects on the whole family. While Peter Falk loved his wife dearly, he did not know how to deal with her problems.
Peter and I both wanted her to be just a little mad, with her quirky personality and fun, creative spirit, but you foresee a negative…
Wow long ride and tons of wisdom on the road to a different ending. Loved the various characters we met. Especially loved our Turkish friend. He nailed it. I learned so much about the Iranian countryside. I have a certain picture of Kurds, Afghans, etc. but this opened my eyes to the everyday person. I wondered why he wanted to end it all. Finally I know.
Worth the watch to get a good philosophy of life if nothing else
