Try laughing. Then whatever scares you will go away.
My Neighbor Totoro is by far my favorite Miyazaki film. I can't tell you how many times I have checked the DVD out at the library as a kid when I moved for the first time. This film is about dealing with change through the eyes of children bringing out a childlike wonder that is hard to come out for me personally. Through ideas and feelings such as imagination, curiosity, and exploration, Miyazaki builds a safe world in which children can grow and be comforted at the same time. Not to mention the numerous creatures that warmed my heart. I still feel this as an adult.
