    Not a big fan of this sadly.

    Overall, definitely a somewhat enjoyable show and I can definitely see why people love it. However, for me it had way too much sensory overload to the point my brain just felt fried, not the good kind of sensory overload at all for me. I couldn't follow the visuals and audio at the same time at all, it was too much.

    Amazing music, strong surrealistic visuals and ideas with some nice thematics, but occasionally bored me.

    Also the english dub is atrocious, I don't know if the original Japanese also suffers from constant anime reaction noises (the dub is fulled with eh, ah, un, oh, hmm, etc. noises, when I say it makes up 90% of the voice acting I genuinely don't think I am exaggerating) but it really irritated me in the dub and took me out of the atmosphere…

    Not a rewatch

    I need to rewach end of evangelion to know for sure, but I feel (to some extent) like EoE might be Anno wanting to be understood, wanting to be loved and wanting to be happy. With Shinji's arc being very focused on self-affirmation, and other character arcs like Asuka's feeling self-contained to that character. It is hopeful but not entirely convinced by its own hope.
