Fun and with a lighter touch than most Marvel films, it never quite gels together. The fight sequences, with their enlargening and shrinking mechanics, are quite fun to watch, and I like the break from "saving the world again" narratives, but something is missing. Perhaps it is the lack of a compelling villain. The Ghost is more special effect gimmick than character, and Walton Goggins is completely waisted in a do nothing role that seems only tangentially related to the plot. And maybe that's the film's biggest problem. There isn't so much a B-Story and an A-Story as there is a B1 and B2 Story; two parallel conflicts that seem better suited to episodes of a television series than a movie.
