PTA’s most mundane film to date. the dramatic running scenes were cute
Moooody patoody. I’ve seen this many a time and it always hits the spot. You can tell CJF put much of his energy toward bringing the vivid descriptions of hillsides and halls from the novel to life, successfully creating an atmosphere that is simultaneously frosty, comforting, and eerie. I think the sun shines only twice, maybe thrice, and the rest of the scenes are overcast and grey. When a fire is lit, you really feel the warmth.
