A great thriller which keeps the audience at the edge of the seat and reminds them that anything can happen in the film. It's got one of my Hitchcock camoes. We can see it's influence from The Night of the Hunter to Mulholland Dr (use of waltz). But... sometimes Hitchcock will tell more than you'd like to know. That's the only flaw here. Otherwise, a fine film. Joseph Cotten is one lucky guy to get a chance to star in this, The Third Man and also in Citizen Kane.
Shadow of a Doubt: 8.9/10
