My little 00s, small-town high school experience definitely wasn’t 100% like this, but something I’ve always related to in Dazed and Confused is how, by senior year, after 12 years confined together in the same tuba can, everyone is pretty much cordial to one another. There’s still nerds, jocks, burnouts, dickheads, weirdos, losers, and whatnot, but everyone is just kinda okay with one another. And then you graduate and never talk to each other again.
Every year I grow more aware that my high school experience was not the norm. But hey, maybe it’s just a Texas thing?
You know...Sasha Jensen really is MVP of this thing. He’s so good! I’m sad he didn’t do more stuff.
