    Ooooooh Native American.

Soar like an eagle, sit like a pelican.

    Ooooooh, don't call us Indians.

We're more like West-Eurasians crossed with Siberians.

    Sleeping with Other People

    ★★★½

Rom-coms have always been a bit hit & miss for me, but in recent years they've mostly been miss. It's a genre that's lost its way a little bit, becoming lazy, cash-grabbing dross with a lack of talent in all departments. So it's always nice to see one come out of nowhere that takes you by surprise because it's actually pretty damn good. Despite it's familiar tropes, the undeniably strong chemistry between Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie and the perfect balance between comedy and charm, makes Sleeping with Other People one of the best rom-coms for quite a while.

The Perks of Being A Wallflower, Crazy, Stupid, Love, Easy A, 500 Days of Summer and Serendipity are a handful of films that, if you look at externally, have some issues. I am blind to their faults due to how subjectively enamored I am with how they present themselves to me as a person.…

    X-Men: First Class

    ★★★★

With a strong script, smart direction from Matthew Vaughn and a stellar cast, X-Men: First Class is both a mature origins story and an entertainingly ambitious superhero film. The chemistry between McAvoy and Fassbender is fantastic, Jennifer Lawrence is great in her first mainstream role, and Kevin Bacon is convincing as the lead antagonist. Can't wait for round two.

Still can't get over how shit Nicholas Hoult's Beast looks after his mutation enhances, though.
