Resident Evil: Afterlife 2010
RE:petition, RE:petition, RE:petition: Love how this series depends on it. Revisiting the same rooms, re-encountering the same characters, but always using them slightly different, creating memories against a virulent amnesia/decay.
"You know, I have the strangest feeling I know you."
(And, yeah, Alice shooting coins at the monsters of capitalism - one of the veeery few movies where I regret to not have seen it in 3D.)

Enter the Ninja 1981
“So, Mr. Ninja, who are you going to kill next?“
Didn't know that this already is a full-on parody of an action film. Gets by on charm, grotesqueness and some visual panache.

Splatter: Naked Blood 1996
(It's really strange how perfectly the most common way you can see Sato's movies from the 80s and 90s today - as a file ripped from a DVD scanned from a VHS - fits his visions of media transformation and transgression.)
This was disturbingly calming and liberating, even hopeful? -
Paganini Horror 1989
Pat Benatar and her band play the rock version of an Andrew Lloyd Webber song (© Paganini), which invokes Bava's Baron Blood and opens the gates to color filter hell. Beautiful, but I'd love to see the “orchestra of mannequins“, too, please.
