First watch of the 'Coda' edit. It improves the former '3' chiefly by lowering expectations for something less than a Best Picture nom. With its broad tone, set pieces, and Vatican-heavy plot, it's closer to a season finale of a primetime soap.
Overlooked 70s gem that deftly segues from romantic happenstance to period-vicious satire of literary exploitation. A remake could slay, but just shortening a few minutes of long shots would bring it in line with modern pacing.
