I watched this sober and completely alone, born far too late (and in another country) to possibly relate to the depicted events, but still somehow think this is a masterpiece? What?
It isn't the plot that hooks you, there really isn't much to be found, even though it's non-stop entertainment. It's the incredible authenticity, the brilliantly quotable dialogue, the terrific cast, the humor, the impeccable soundtrack and just the overall atmosphere. This feels insanely rewatchable even though I can't pinpoint any particular scene I'd love to watch again.
