So far as offshoots of student projects go, Italian Spiderman is pretty damned good. So, perhaps a few of the jokes shot past me and I'm not exactly well versed in the source material that Dario Russo is spoofing, but overall I found this to be a totally bonkers and considerably entertaining way to waste forty minutes.
It's the kind of movie that would've been ruined with a larger budget. The naff quality of everything adds to the authenticity of this bucket of nonsense. I'd never seen a moustache used to explode a man's head until today.
I now need to check out his TV series Danger 5 and eagerly await Russo's next projects.
