Daniel Howat’s review published on Letterboxd:
Ready Player One is just about the most fun I’ve had in a theater in a long time. It’s insane and over the top in all the right ways. Incredible visuals and never-ending pop culture Easter Eggs make for a completely exhilarating film.
It’s both a throwback to classic Spielberg adventures and a burst of new and innovative imagery. Brilliant visual effects make it all work flawlessly.
It may not tap in the deep themes that are possible with a film about virtual reality, but Ready Player One is a blast from beginning to end.
