A lot of speed-walking, jogging and bicycling going on in this one. I kept asking myself "What does it all mean?", and I found the answer in the credits - this short was commissioned for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, just like Lynne Ramsay's Swimmer. Mike Leigh's pacing of the film matches the briskness of such activities, incorporating the energetic comedy stylings I so adored in 2008's Happy-Go-Lucky. ★★

Looks like this is here to stay, so now I can put my two cents in, or should I say... my two stars? Now, I didn't come to this decision overnight. I've been sleeping on Twin Peaks: The Return since early September, continuously grasping at thin air and theories in the hopes that I would see the five star genius that so many (and yet so few) have seen. I just can't bring myself to do it. Yes, there are…
