A groovy soundtrack, some pretty captivating visuals and an astonishing performance from Anya Taylor Joy. Last Night in Soho had a lot of things going in its favour yet it managed to be utterly disappointing for me.

The film has its ambitions set sky high but fails to deliver on the bare basics. It is such a shame that an Edgar Wright film managed to be this uninteresting and bland. The script is flawed and amateurish, and sadly Edgar's directionโ€ฆ

Julia Ducournau's Titane is a monumental work of art in every single aspect, the fact that she was able to artfully execute a concept like this is simply outstanding. Julia's command over every frame is just mesmerising, she meticulously amalgamates both style and substance in a perfect proportion. Ahhh, finally something worthwhile from Bollywood after quite a long time.

Sardar Udham is a meticulously presented nuanced experience which once again proves that Shoojit Sircar is a storyteller of the highest standards.

Shoojit Sircar leaves no stone unturned in creating a bleak atmosphere which really confronts you about forgetting the struggles our freedom fighters went through without overdoing anything. By making the film immune from overt patriotism, Shoojit surely knew what he was doing with it.

The movie has this "been there seen that" kind of feel throughout so I personally wasn't really wowed by it. Besides this, another reason for me to not love it could possibly be me not knowing a single thing about the source material, I have not had the pleasure of reading the book nor have I seen the David Lynch's version.

For me in order to like a movie emotional investment in the characters is necessary and Dune unfortunately doesn'tโ€ฆ
