For am almost three hour movie with plenty of time to explain itself I found Once Upon a Time in the West shockingly hard to follow. I had to go to wikipedia to even know how Cheyenne escaped or why Frank was mad at Morton. There are times when the *cinema* of it all really overwhelms you and it doesn't matter how incomprehensible it is (or how stupid you are). I think on rewatch with spark notes in the back of my head I'll love it.
