Ian Reagan’s review published on Letterboxd:
Let me start by saying that this was probably the best movie in the DCEU to date. But that does not mean it was great.
There were numerous flaws in the narrative, in the fights, and in the cinematography.
A positive was that it had a refreshingly bright color pallet, especially in the beginning, and some absolutely beautiful set dec and costumes. Like most DCEU movies it looked amazing but the content was lacking. Without spoiling it, the story seemed to repeat itself and there was an uncomfortable amount of unnecessary filler, entertaining and funny filler, but still unnecessary.
I am very happy with the fact that we even got a female centered and directed superhero movie, and i hope to see more companies follow this and make movie adaptations of the other amazing female superheroes.
