    I definitely wasn't in the mood for something like this today. After talking with a friend afterwards, I've realized I failed to connect with it mainly because I didn't do military service and I'm not familiar with almost any army practices. This is undoubtedly extremely well-shot, and the overall direction is great. Feels like a very singular experience, for better and worse. The editing in particular was really odd, even quite terrible at points.

    Having a better understanding now, I'll give it another watch in the future, and hopefully I'll be able to connect and even like it!

    Absolutely annoying, bland, boring, basic as shit, with not even the SLIGHTEST ounce of complexity or subtlety. It's been a damn long time since I've seen a semi-interesting concept with very creative and cool production design ruined by a terrible, preachy AF screenplay.     My soul is fucking broken. PLEASE WATCH THIS. Rarely do I watch a film (especially a recent release) that hits me so deeply that I want everyone to experience this. Not only is the animation fantastic, the execution of the plot is outstanding.
