The Lost World: Jurassic Park 1997
Actually has a pretty neat setup, gets too stupid too quickly though. Stops being about characters and leans more on the spectacle.

Doctor Sleep 2019
More King than Kubrick, yet slavishly reverent to the 1980 classic. Honestly I was kind of bored, it has its moments but I cannot recommend anyone rushing out to see this in theatres. Overly long, much more of a thriller than a horror movie, can’t say I was ever frightened. More of a superhero/vampire movie than anything else believe it or not. Rent this.

Yesterday 2019
Concept doesn’t translate to screen very well. The direction is distinct but the script is pretty lame, schmaltzy and expected. Performances are good and the sound editing was great at times, but I’m afraid this gets an avoid from me, mostly on the account of Ed Sheeran plummeting the movie. Danny is above this corny shit. And I love the beatles, but jesus christ it’s pretty boring to watch the beatles be jerked off for 2 hours in a boring romantic comedy. I approve of Lily James being the latest manic pixie dream girl though. Zoey Deschanel finally has some competition.

Trolls 2016
Hello, No. 1 Dreamworks fan here. The final movie is complete, every Dreamworks movie has now been seen. Shame I had to finish the saga with this shitty ass movie doe.
A frustrating balance of visual creativity with some of the most embarrassing stereotypical Dreamworks pandering garbage you'd expect. The strongest aspect by far is the art direction, it looks like Yoshi's Wooly World at it's best. I liked basically every creature that wasn't a Trollé©, there are some fun…

The Dark Knight Rises 2012
If you have very fond memories of this film, I’d recommend to not rewatch it.
