I hate bad voice over narration.

  • The Woman in the Window

    ★★

Punch is a pretty amazing cat.
But everything, EVERY THING, in this film is overly stylized. So uncomfortable to watch.

  • The Midnight Sky

    The Midnight Sky

    ★★

I only watched this because it is one of the five Oscar nominees I hadn’t seen. But I don’t think it was something I needed to do.

  • Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

    ★★

I only have myself to blame for wasting the last two hours watching this.

  • The Prom

    The Prom

    ★★

This gives musicals a bad name.
Plus, what a waste of Nicole Kidman.
    It’s criminal.

  • Hillbilly Elegy

    ★★

**I finally finished watching this. I adore Glenn and she is always worthy of acclaim, but this film should NOT be part of Oscar history.**

I made it one hour and seventeen minutes before turning this off. I wouldn’t have even made it that far if I hadn’t gone down a cat video rabbit hole on Instagram. Not sure I will (or can) finish it. Amy Adams is a good at yelling, but nothing interesting happened between her tantrums to hold my attention.
So, yes, It is as bad as everyone is saying.

  • Chemical Hearts

    Chemical Hearts

    ★★

This movie is SO extra. Lili Reinhart was very compelling, but she couldn’t survive the terrible writing. The worst part was the dumped sister’s ridiculous monologues about the “science” of a broken heart. It just kept getting worse and worse, I couldn’t look away. 🙄🤦🏻🤮

  • Saturday Night Fever

    Saturday Night Fever

    ★★

Just watch a clip of Travolta’s epic dance solo and skip the rest of this film.

  • Airport

    ★★

I can’t believe I actually finished watching this. The best part is all of the old plows clearing snow during opening credits.

  • Love Story

    Love Story

    ★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

“Love means never having to say you’re sorry”?Hmm. Can’t say I agree. I didn’t understand this film’s appeal.  I adore a good boy meets girl, girl makes boy’s life worth living, and then girl dies story.  I cry every single time I watch A Walk to Remember, I can sing along to Moulin Rouge! from start to finish, and the way Harold loves Maude is without parallel. (And stories where the boy dies in the end are great too. Like…
