Outdated satire. None of this is remotely scandalous today.
1. I don't know what I was hoping to take away from watching 20th Century Women, but definitely not a pseudo-profound yet stubbornly shallow work that is less a character ensemble and rather a bunch of ciphers broadly representing branches of white counterculture.
