    Fallen

I've read the Fallen book series and think it's quite bad - like a rip-off of Twilight but they got wings instead of fangs. So watching this film, I really didn't have much of a thought. And as expected, the CGI is awful, the transitions are weak and the general editing is just confusing and haphazard. Thank God the lead girl can act and she has quite a chemistry with both her leading men, or I would've given Fallen half a star.

  • Deliver Us from Evil

    Deliver Us from Evil

Deliver Us From Evil is a supernatural horror that's more confused whether it's a buffed up action flick for lead Eric Bana or a fan movie for The Doors. Either way, this "inspired by real events" scary film lacks, well, the scares. The tricks and treats are everything we've seen before in other posession-themed movies but Deliver Us From Evil even failed to be sinister and impactful

    Squid Game

    ★★★½

South Korea really knows stuff on television and movie artistry, and Squid Game is no exception to their amazing executions. This Hunter X Hunter meets The Hunger Games-like show started off strong with underlying socio-economical commentary. Squid Game was intriguing and shockingly good until the plot plateaued into hackneyed and senseless brutality by favoring shock factor over seamless storytelling.

    A Walk to Remember

    ★★★½

Yes, A Walk To Remember is a cheesy romantic drama with clichéd Hollywood norms, and at some sequences felt like a Christian propaganda film, but Mandy Moore and Shane West is just sooo compatible their chemistry is off the roof. They're such good actors you can't help but fall for their characters and cry for/with them, carrying the whole movie in the process. Yes, I cried. That damn shooting star scene.
